Apple Watch Series 9 with FineWoven Band - Unavailable?

I'm not able to place an order at all. I can understand if it's not available launch day but I'm just stuck and can't proceed... anyone else?

Gold 45mm Evergreen Magnetic Link band. No financing, no AppleCare.

Have I missed something RE the straps release date? Was hoping to get an Evergreen Link..

Assumed they would all be the 22nd, but then again I think back on the iPhone 13 they randomly didn't release the leather cases for about a month or so..
 
I chatted with an apple customer service advisor (and I know they do not necessarily know a lot) and they said that the bands are currently unavailable but should be availabe for pre-order by Friday...

So Apple lied to us... we cannot order the configuration we want today...
 
Really annoying? Especially not to communicate it or give any expected release date or anything.

I won’t be buying mine until the strap I want is available - I’d be happy to if they sold the watch without the strap and I could just get it later, but they don’t so I’m not wasting £50 by getting a strap I don’t want for a period of time.

Same - tried to order the magnetic band and could not pre-order.

Apple Chat said they should have some at launch day and that I also have 14 days to exchange / upgrade bands from my 9/22 launch day delivery w/ sport band.

We'll see - at least I have the chat message saved....

Ended up ordering this in the meantime:

It's all well and good that Apple will allow an exchange, but what a hassle for something that they lied to us about. It's kind of bush league, IMO.

Yes, I would have to pay the price difference in the store.

The issue is if the blue magnetic loop band will be available within the 14 day return window.

Apple Chat was very unforgiving in that policy...
 
Yup, still no sign in the UK either. Wonder how long I'll be waiting. Glad I didn't order one with a normal strap and then look to return in 14 days.

They want $50 extra to order the mag band later when available. WTF Apple? Get your act together! This and the fact that east coast web site opened almost 15 minutes late? wow...

(by the way the in store band exchange process for upgrading isn't so smooth)

Checked again week before launch and no dice on the magnetic bands.

Any guesses if they will stock by 9/22 ?
Or within 14 days of launch day ?

If not, Apple will get me for another $99 as I will be forced to buy the magnetic band for $99.

Not in the mood to return it and order another....
