I bought my Apple Watch today. I was torn between the Gold and Space Grey. I looked and tried them on for a 15 min session.

The interesting thing was I was loving the Gold with the Blue band, with the colours being far more subtle than in pictures but for some reason the anodised Gold on the Digital Crown put me off as it just looked really cheap. The Space Grey in comparison looked a more rounded finish and a bit more high quality.

Of course they are the same in reality but it was how it looked to me and the perception it held. Wearing it it felt cheaper than the Grey.

That is my take. Of course bother have a higher quality feel than the silver but the silver works visually I feel with the most bands. So is a real toss up and personal opinion I think is the main thing.

Still can't decide between the gold and the space black!

so you got the grey?

How much of an issue is the $100 difference? I mean, if you can afford it, go with the one you like. It's something you wear every day, so IMO it is worth paying a little extra to get one you like the most.

Thank you!

If I don't have the space black to compare, I might have gone with the gold. It was the one I wanted in the first place.

If you can get the SB for only $100 more than gold, I'd go with that for sure. To me the gold sport looks nice with the band it comes with, but I think it's going to be very limited in what bands go with it. But I still prefer the SS.

The gold sport can go with black or white band as well. But the midnight blue and gold combo did look so hot as the pictures showed.

Yes, been wearing it all day, the grey looks far more expensive that what it is. I made the right call.

It is a shame as I of loved a brushed steel but this is the next best thing and the grey just sink in with the gorgeous black OLED screen.

But can you get bands with a gold pin? I thought only the band that came with it matched... all the bands you buy separately are either stainless or space grey pins on the sport bands, and mostly stainless on the buckles/mounting plates. Call me OCD, but it would bug the heck out of me to have a gold watch with a black or silver/stainless pin.

Nobody is going to notice the pin!
