Talk about being environmentally unfriendly! They could have shipped it with the band looped but noooo they had to lay it flat for presentation. /facepalm

Why is it so many who return their  Watch feel compelled to "broadcast" it ?

Groan

Think you misunderstood the so long. Believe it refers to the box length.

In any event I'm sure Apple in their infinite wisdom has calculated dimension for their shipping purposes from the factory, storage in the warehouse, how it fits on their store shelves and shipping costs from Apple to the customer. Tim is great at logistics and all of that would be a concern to him. Don't think they do anything without a reason.

It probably costs less to lay the watch flat in a long box than produce the cutouts and band support on the more expensive models. Plus, it's a good way to spot the cheapskates in a shopping centre :p (I am one of the cheapskates)

It's long so you can hit them over the head for not buying the SS model.

I really like my space gray but think my next one will be stainless. I thought about selling this one but I may keep it for my sports activities and wear a stainless for everything else. Maybe at some point we will be able to pair two watches to a single phone. One at a time is fine if I just have the ability to switch back and forth as they are worn.

Yeah, until then you really do not want two Watches because they make it too much of a hassle to switch between them. I'd either sell now and get a Sport band for sport activities or wait until gen 2 before upgrading.

I'm happy with my space gray at the moment and have a few sports bands I'm happy with too. When the time comes to replace this one I will most likely go stainless but I have to say, not unhappy with my current choice at all.

Have we exhausted all possible thread topics? Is there nothing left to discuss? ugh!
