This is obviously a fraud, or at best a crack pipedream.

Besides, even if it isn't, Apple's legal dep't. will have this shut down pronto, so it'll never get anywhere anyway.

People buying the Edition will not decide to buy the sport and convert it to the Fake Edition for $2000. They are buying the Edition because they can.

I would have bought the Edition if it was under $4000 but would never do it this way for $2000, I can't imagine anyone doing it this way BUT you never know.......

LOL - "a jeweler found a new 18-caret gold frame"

Apple could have made the Edition watches so much cheaper by just buying the identical frames from a jeweler instead of making them from scratch...

"A solid 18-carat gold Apple Watch frame? Yeah hold on I think I've got one of those lying around in the back".

- said no jeweler, ever

I get the feeling the 1 Apple edition watch for the model is just this guys elaborate way of getting one.

Exactly.

Because why do you need the gold watch as a model? If you need a mold, all you need is an aluminum watch. They're exactly the same except for materials

looks like just a way for the originator to make money. $100 pledge gets you a drawing??..so they don't really have to deliver anything.

IGG and Kickstarter are full of scams like this, but in most cases the site itself doesn't care as long as they get their cut

They're showing the yellow gold model with the bright red strap.

Any businesses that gold-plate iDevices will be able to gold plate the Sport case. Purchase the soft pink Modern Buckle, dye it red and gold plate the SS accents. Voilà, a $2,000 Edition knockoff on the Sport model.
