Call me indecisive ... but I can't make up my mind.

Originally, I thought I'd love the Gold Sport with midnight blue. But once I got my hands on a Space Black SS, I know the Gold Sport won't do it for me.

I had my mind set on the Space Black and almost bought AppleCare for it yesterday. Last night, I got a deal on a regular Stainless Steel. New problem started.

Which one would be a better choice?

I like the look of the Space Black with black sport band and was gonna get a white band for it.

The regular Stainless Steel looks good with the black band as well.

It's a torture, when you have options.

Which one will be more durable? I plan to hold on to it for at least 2 years ... at least that's my plan now.

Regular stainless steel seems to be more versatile with bands? But I can't afford Apple bands and 3rd party offerings have been subpar so far.

Advice... please.

Regular stainless has the biggest selection of bands if your anal about clips and sliders matching it also stands up to punishment better due to the lack of dlc coating.

So the DLC coating will make the Space Black less durable?

I thought the Space Black doesn't scratch as easy as the Stainless Steel - my SS has lots of small scratches...

You are correct. But I think once the DLC is gone, it's gone. You can't buff the watch to make it look better.

I don't think everyone is going to agree on which one is better.

I hope I will receive the Stainless Steel one soon. Will post pictures, if I still have both then.

Coatings are coatings, and will always come off given enough abuse. A few watch companies use other materials, such as ceramic or specially-treated steel, to get color which will never scratch.

If it wasn't for the delay on launch I would have gotten the sssg but given the selection of bands I have now I'm glad I went for the ss.

Probably my opinion is a little different but my plain SS with black sport band works for work as being unobtrusive and I have the modern buckle in pink when I'm not at work which is a completely different look. I couldn't wear the buckle with the space black in my personal opinion.

You guys are right about regular stainless steel being versatile with bands. But I am only going to get the black sport band and maybe the white one later on.

I wore space black with black sport band to work the other day. it was ok. I work at a university. everyone is a geek here.

the space black probably looks better with the white band than the regular.

I will try to give both a try before making my decision.

I'm glad there are choices because I just couldn't see myself in a shiny steel watch, if they made a mat or brushed finish it wouldn't be too bad. That's why for me... the stainless steel space black was the way to go.

Only YOU can choose what's the best for YOU because the rest of us will only be justifying our own choice.

I think the regular SS is more versatile and more durable, and that's what I went with. I also think the SB looks too similar to the SG personally. Only you can decide which one you want.
