I'm sure it would be fine with the water in the swimming pool but I wouldn't imagine the chlorine in the water would do it any good.

The fact that the Apple Watch survived these tests is really only useful if we know that Apple would service or replace it under warranty had it not survived the tests. Otherwise this is at best just mildly interesting.

Exactly what I was thinking. When I saw this video, I was excited it's _possible_ to swim with it and it still works. But then I thought, I can't bring myself to spend $400 on it if there is the possibility that it may _not_ survive one day if it isn't part of the apple warranty. Fingers crossed that by the 2nd generation, the apple watch is officially waterproof.

Which would go for any watch... even $1M ones.

********. I've worn watches all my life not even expensive ones. I've wacked them hard off many walls and assorted other objects never damaged one. I barely grazed my apple watch and it broke. I love apple but the exposed edges on this watch are going to be a problem

Umm this isn't a watch, this is a computer or your wrist. A lot of watches don't even use electricity. Tell me about the other wrist computers that can withstand a 120 ft dive.

Also, I think Zuckerberg's older brother should do more videos like this. They're pretty good.

Oh sorry thought it was called Apple WATCH
