I have a 3rd generation Apple Watch
Had since new and zero problems
Only has Facebook Messenger and a Steps Counting App as "additional" apps

However I can't install the latest OS and keep getting messages saying storage is full
Has no music / photos on it

Any suggestions ?
I have tried unpairing and repairing but still same

Is this a GPS only model? They only had 8GB storage which is indeed currently causing havoc with updates.

There's at least one other thread here on the board that talks all about this.

The series 3 doesn't really have enough extra storage to handle updates of recent Watch OS versions.

Cheers guys
Managed to fully reset it and wipe it clean and seems it’s installed the update

however ...

it now seems to be wanting to fill all empty space with photos / music / podcasts

I don’t want anything on it at all. Just the watch with the 2 apps.

I had the same problem with my Series 3 GPS. I had to unpair/wipe it, update it, then restore the backup. Took almost five hours from start to finish, if I remember right. I also don't have any music, photos, podcasts, etc. on it. I only had a couple apps, which I couldn't remove because when I opened the Watch app on my phone it locked me to the Update screen, and if I tried to cancel out of that, it basically said my only option was to unpair it.
