I have always worn my Apple Watch when swimming since they were made waterproof. It is now an Ultra 3. The swimming workout records, amongst other things, the type of strokes being swum. I swim every morning and always breaststroke and front crawl (freestyle). Never any other. Until OS 26.2 it was accurate recording the correct strokes. Since then it says I have swum strokes I never do. For example I get it telling me I have swum butterfly or backstroke and on a couple of occasions swum with a board. The number of lengths swum remains correct but not the strokes. This morning I swum 45 lengths using breaststroke (720m) and 25 front crawl (400m), a total of 1,120 meters, but the watch says I swam 400 meters breaststroke and 720 meters backstroke!

Anybody else experiencing this bug?

I have a Series 7 Ti and swim 4-5 days weekly. I get butterfly and 'mixed' sometimes when I rarely ever swim fly -- but only shows maybe a length or two with this anomaly. And sometimes the watch misses one length so my workout is not 1,100 yards but 1,075 yards. It's always been this way since the Series 3, my first watch, but doesn't happen all the time -- guessing it is 26.2 -- as I can go months without it happening at all.

I'm seriously considering the Ultra 3.

Same sort of problem, but only one since 26.2.

Every so often the number of lengths is not accurately shown. This has always happened. I swim 70 lengths each day, comes to 1120 meters or 1225 yards. The watch sometimes gives me 69 lengths. That would mean getting out of the pool at the wrong end! I assume there is a slight delay each length before the watch records it. Thus when I press the pause button, turn off the water protection and end, it has not had time to record the final length. I suppose the answer is to delay pausing a few seconds.
