I'm not sure which generation Apple TV we have where I am but it paired flawlessly. The Settings on Apple TV should show your watch and the watch will give you a code to type into the TV. I had the Apple TV remote handy to type in the code. Not sure how you would get the code in without the existing remote.

The watch will guide you through the steps. Did you open the remote app on the watch?

Strange, I tried it with 2 of our ATVs and both ATVs said the watch was paired, but the watch stayed on "add device." Home sharing is on, but it's not using the same apple ID as my iPhone/watch.

I guess I'll reboot my watch and try again.

"Double tapping a second time goes back to the last thing you were doing. "
do you mean tap the second time, or tap it four time?

These all sound like amazing features that I can not wait to use. But..I will be waiting until mid May sometime because I ordered the dang thing at 12:06. Lol

So much force touch is used here...

So, i have my new Mac 2015, and the very first thing i noticed with Force Click, is dragging is next to impossible, as it cannot differentiate between a drag.

I like to think Force Touch would be better on the watch since there is no way to drag anything... (not yet anyway).

Apart for this small issue, the changing of colors and what can be done from "annoying" feature is good :apple:

Again, hopefully u can still disable this in the watch too.. (when needed)

How about some truth in advertising? The screen shots in the article are much larger than the actual watch face. Good for some, but mature eyes won't be using this.

The screenshots are the display resolution of the watch, mate

you realize iPhone 6+ screenshots are larger than 1080p, yes? Pretty sure it's smaller than your average TV or computer display.

The screenshots are neat but how do we access the shots on phone/Mac?

Just open your iPhoto app on either your iPhone or Mac and the screenshot will appear. It only takes a few moments for the screenshot to transfer. It's really quite cool and something I didn't already know about!

I sat down to take a quick nap and my watch dinged me and told me it was time to stand up, just as I was hitting that sweet spot in my dreams. Thanks Tim. :p

Seriously, is everyone loving their watch as much as me? It's much more of a personal device that my phone as I am finding myself interacting with it throughout the day and since it's on your wrist it feels more apart of me than my phone.

And battery life has been exceptional, I am only using about 30-40% per day and that includes a workout, some texting and emailing and alerts. Pretty incredible.
I concur about the battery on my 42mm version:

I wore it for 7 hours (100% -> 72%), charged it for 15 minutes (85%)... wore it overnight for another 10 hours (50%), woke up & showered with it on, headed into the office, charged it for 30 minutes (90%), spent a few more hour with it on and I'm currently sitting at 83%.

So yes... the battery lasts SO LONG! I would not be afraid to go two days in between charges.

I just found out that a force press on the notifications list offers a clear all :D
NO. WAY!

If the iPhone 6S has Force Touch in USEFUL ways like that which you just described... I'm sold.

As another member commented (but was deleted) this Apple Watch does seem to be a huge waste of time (are negative Apple comments not allowed on MacRumors). The following famous line seems most fitting to the Apple Watch:

I thought I was really attached to my iPhone 6P, but true to Apple they came out with something better. Now me and my watch are inseparable! :D

For watch owners: How difficult is it to find the glance you want to go to? It seems there is a large number of potential glances and that number will only grow the more apps are installed/used.

Yes, this can get out of control quickly. As you learn what information the glance actually provides and which apps you use most often, you trim down the number of glances quickly. For instance, I currently have 8 glances, but several dozen apps.

Digital Touch

Hi

I'm in the UK and wanted to try out Digital Touch with someone to see how it works but don't know anyone with an Apple Watch.

Feel free to PM your number if you want me to send you a picture! :)

Thanks. Is the order of the glances fixed or does it change like the apps in the multitask switcher on iOS devices based on the most recently used? Or can you manually change their order?

yes, no, yes.

It's fixed, but can be changed so there is no dynamic changing without your input..

check out the glances section on the iphone apple watch app, you can add, remove, move around, etc.

Thanks, that is good to know. On the iPad I get constantly confused whether I have to four-finger swipe left or right to get to the previously used app. When you swipe between two apps back and forth, they keep their relative position if you do only 'very little' in the app on the right (like scrolling) but once you do a bit more it jumps to the left. And since you don't see this jump, the four-finger swipe left or right is always a bit of a lottery.

Unfortunately, without an Apple Watch I don't have a glances section in the app. I only have access to the promotional/tutorial videos and the Watch App Store.

I didn't 'get' what people meant by "more personal/part of me" until i got one. Same features but available on your wrist is a huge deal. I was walking around the house doing something when i realised that i need to buy sth. "Hey siri, remind me to buy milk". Few minutes later, when leaving the house - Dark sky - quick glance "its going to rain." - guess I'm gonna need a jacket after all.

It's true - the best Watch apps are quick interactions. Few seconds tops. That's where the Watch shines.
