what?

Do you know what’s under the grass with the soul? What holds the soul and helps plants have its nutrition? How is it relevant … here is simple elementry teaching you may have forgotten.

What do plants breath?
What do humans and animals breath?

Each filters what it exhails vs the hydro/carbon-monoxides and other huge carbon based pollutants in our air we all breath and take for granted. Have a google search for the 30yrs and see just how bad one countries huge former dependence on coal burning for energy affected other countries across the globe, because well air circulates across the globe.

it’s not just about our own or your own fitness … its about reducing our carbon footprint and affect on the planet even just 1 day could be significant the more people around the world contribute towards a less fossil fuel consumption.
Are you operating under the assumption that the O2 produced by cut Kentucky Blue Grass offsets co2 emissions and water use needed to grow and manicure the plant?

Maybe you ride to work that day instead of driving, wouldn't you be saving on co2 emissions then?
Usually. Interestingly, if you're eating a lot meat, food for the energy you expend on a bike can be even more "expensive" in terms of CO2 emissions per mile than the gasoline it'd take to fuel your car.

The earth day activity challenges are always funny because technically they increase carbon dioxide emissions (from you, working out when you wouldn't before).
Also it's coming from a computerized watch that is probably one of the least necessary products I can think of. Sorry to be negative; normally I don't care, but it bothers me a little when Apple claims to care about Earth Day like this.

It’s great you have friends that workout and use iOS.
Most of my friends are on Android uggh. The guys workout but I cannot challenge them outside the gym: many drive cars since age 16 and don’t have early childhood sports habits/backgrounds. The girls dont’ really lift weights only cardio and they dont’ share their progress within the guys (even the one’s their hitched to, I don’t get it).
I think it's the way the calories are counted — my wife gets mad every time we track any activity together — her calorie count is about 20-30% smaller than mine :))))

I checked some numbers and if you consume 1000 extra (kilo)calories from beef alone, the carbon footprint is equivalent to burning 1.5-4.5 gallons (6-18 liters) of gasoline depending on how the livestock is fed. 1000 calories is about what I burn on a 1-2 hour bike ride. So in my case, if I only ate beef, it would be equally bad to take the car or ride my bike to work. Good thing I don’t eat beef.

Looks like even more, depending on how efficient your car is. A lot of modern cars can get 30MPG, so that's a 45-135 mile bike ride.

Let her know that she can wear a weighted backpack so her active weight approximates yours and the numbers will be much closer.

I eat about nine pounds a week, give or take, and a little more during the summer, so I’m picking up the slack.

On a side note, why does Apple still advertise that you can swim with the Apple Watch for exercise? Yet they will deny you any warranty claims for water damage. How does this make sense?

The gamification of fitness is cool, but I can't do anything with this reward besides bragging rights and feeling better. At least give me 15% off a watch band or 10% off of a new watch...something that impacts their sales. How is this not a thing?

Maybe because the benefit in keeping physically active IS THE reward:
Unclogged arteries,
Healthier heart function or more efficient heart function for life,
Better moods, deeper sleeps that are more restful for the mind and body,
Beer thinking or clearer thinking process - again lifetime longevity,
Better eating habits,
Better mind muscle coordination,
Happier mindset, better personal thoughts of one’s self,
Better focus of the mind,
Better time management of your life, leading to better work/life balance,
Etc etc

Although a good idea, what thresholds and how often would be key along with how metrics are achieved based on one’s ability and range of motion or ability for some and not other exercises, age, etc.

I don’t think Apple wants to be perceived as pushing a customer too far to get 10% discount on the latest iPhone that’ll lead a desperate hunger person to hospitalization in this regard.

Maybe you could you tell her?))))

Besides, does the AW calculate your weight? No, you just enter it in health, right?
Yeah, she would have to enter her new effective weight into Health, afaik.

That said, I have no interest in talking to any woman about anything even tangentially related to her weight. No thanks. ?

Maybe she can just enter it without using any backpack :D

Just leave everything to me :)
