Apple will be launching the newest activity challenge for Apple Watch wearers next week, with a focus on Heart Month. To complete the challenge, you'll need to close your Apple Watch's exercise ring for seven days in a row during one specific week: from February 8 to February 14, which fits with the heart theme and ends on Valentine's Day.

Apple hasn't detailed the rewards yet, but they're likely to be the same as previous activity challenges: a colorful badge in the "Achievements" tab of the Activity app, and a matching sticker within Messages to send to friends and family. Apple Watch owners should start noticing the Heart Month challenge within their Activity app on Tuesday, February 6, two days ahead of when it begins.

The February challenge is coming on the heels of this year's "Ring in the New Year" challenge, which tasked users with closing all three Activity rings for seven days in a row in January.

    (Thanks, Clement!)

I wonder if this will be available worldwide. Outside the US we seem to miss out on some of the special achievements.

You should be able to find out now if you want to: go to Settings > General > Date and Time, then toggle off Set Automatically and choose February 6. That's the first date I noticed the challenge appearing.

Closed all rings every single day last year (1200 calories a day goal). Kinda bored with the challenges now.

1200 is fairly aggressive. What do you do to stay that consistently active?

Great idea although I seriously wouldn’t trust readings on any throttled phone.

those archievements are always a good motivation. although, the last two monthly challenges didn‘t work for me because of software bugs.

first, my january challenge (walk 150 km) stopped to count at 136 km and then my february challenge (earn 1170 exercise minutes in a month) was achieved on february 1st (probably by adding the minutes from january)

Why would a throttled phone have an effect?

I'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count.

Generally bike for 1.5 hours daily at a high pace (around 20mph) and also lift for about 30 minutes.

    I'm game

I know it's frustrating. These Apple induced challenges should be WorldWide since the Watch is sold as such.
    - OOh new idea! Ability to Challenge others in specific Rings Challenges (Day, Week, Month) ... I don't know if this is possible already though. Nobody I know has an Apple Watch (yet: Mom and sister in May).

@OldSchoolMacGuy, since you're bored and complaining get into the gym for weightlifting/bodybuilding then because ... "It's STILL your M*_F*'ing Set!" (C.T. Fletcher). ;) hehe. hopefully you can change up your daily workouts or increase the calories burned by 800 and then see if you're still bored? Heck rent out someone's wheelchair for a week and see if you can accomplish your rings closing up ;)

    Continue to challenge yourself!
