Just a heads up if you are thinking on getting an Apple Watch in the next week or so.

John Lewis currently have £50 off all Apple Watches until 17/02/16 and this includes a 2 year guarantee.

Currys have £50 off all Sports models, £100 off the stainless Watch with sports or leather straps and £120 off the stainless Watch with Milanese Loop. This offer is due to end next Wednesday (10/2).

I'm after a blue leather loop, but still not sold of spending £129 personally

I can't recommend, but 240 sales may be a good advert:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-L...hash=item4d3673d6d3:m:m-d8qKQFEcbCqCuYDR25rNA

there is also this thread- https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/leather-loop-knock-off-anyone-get-one-yet.1895550/page-22

perhaps post the ebay link and ask if anyone has bought one?. You do need to beware of the watch falling off the wrist if its poor quality, as I'm sure you know. I have redone and used loctite thread glue on all my lugs. But this lug is built in like the sport straps.

If you have applecare plus maybe it covers accidents with 3rd party straps.

cheers

Thanks,

The problem with these third party leather loop straps are they don't really do them for medium wrists and it only seems to be large. Also as you say the risk of it failing and then damaging your watch which I don't have Apple care unfortunately.

Wow, I (naughtily) treated myself to a gold sport watch two weeks ago today direct from Apple. Tempting to return it and re-buy to pocket £50! :p

Have you tried CeX? Blue ones tend to be more expensive but I bought a stone leather loop for £32. Box was unopened, albeit a little bashed at the corners.

Was as if I had bought it from Apple, but for about £100 less. I was pretty pleased.

Brought a couple of straps from cex, haven't been as lucky as to receive brand new boxed ones though. Just ordered a light brown leather loop grade B in hope it's in good condition. Grade A medium leather loops are like gold dust on cex I've found :(

I was looking last month and there were 2 stone and 2 brown leather loops in medium and grade A. Just looked now and unfortunately they've all gone, plus the price has gone up :( Should've bought them all whilst I could!

Hopefully your grade B will turn out to be OK.

Yeah prices have hit the roof recently. Probably due to a big thread on here about it all:rolleyes:

Fingers cross, got a black leather loop grade B, was perfect all but it stunk of smoke and I couldn't get rid of the smell so I return it.

Count it, Apple never price match do they?
Well they didn't when I went in store but an email later and I've had an apology as apples policy is they price match up to 10%. To make it up to me there giving my the 10% back and giving my son a free sports band. The member of staff will be retrained

I cracked and ordered a 42mm Space Black Stainless Steel in case the discount ends at midnight tonight.

And, according to a leak from a while ago, a black Milanese is on the way. And that will be nice! ;)
