It sure does seem like getting the AW2 within the first 12-15 months of its release was one of the smartest purchases in recent Apple history.

Instant Pass.

Garmin Fenix 8 lasts me two weeks on a charge and tracks my workouts daily. Step it up, Apple!
Yes I got rid of my Ultra 2 and switched to the Fenix 8. Couldn't be happier. Also when it does need a charge I can put it on for a couple of hours and it's done. Health and performance metrics are way more advanced. Oh, and it actually looks good

I never thought I would be over the Apple Watch but I'm completely over it. I wear it only to work out and that is all I will wear it for moving forward. Since I stopped wearing it I've noticed how often people look at their watches for notifications. They do it unconsciously even when in meetings. It's incredibly rude, even though it's just being done by habit. When I stopped wearing it I honestly felt freer and less likely to constantly feel the need to get every notification immediate.

I don‘t get these types of comments. It‘s completely up to you which notifications you get on the Watch, isn‘t it?

The Apple Watches have not a sensor problem but a software problem. The algorithms to analyze sensor data are junk. The sleeping algorithm is bogus if you compare it to other health/fitness watches I hit always 80-90 sleep scores while on other watches and own assessment it is around 20-40 below that and that fits better with me being not well rested in the morning. A one point EKG is also pretty useless and gives you a wrong safety. I had to go to my primary care physician to find out that I have issues with my right ventricle. Was undetected on Apple Watch and even 5 point cardia mobile. Measuring blood pressure at home is already difficult and inconsistent enough with an arm monitor and I don't need an Apple Watch to do guess work. Where Apple can shine is recovery, sleep and over training instead they focus on pseudo health features; health should be assessed by a physician.

Unlikely but I would love a polished version. Obviously a little ocd, but the only thing that’s kept me from getting an Ultra is that the matte finish clashes with my wedding ring.

Another reason I hate the natural titanium as well.

I don't buy this, personally I don't think we will see a significant redesign until they get the blood glucose monitoring working, then it will happen. But it is just my opinion. I have got quite used to wearing my Ultra 3 since I got it for my birthday, it has been very useful. In fact my Ultra 3, iPhone and AirPods and I'm sorted for my mobile everyday tech.
