As an avid/competitive powerlifter & lifter of heavy stones...

I'm not a small lad (6ft 4, 22stone / 140kg) or thereabouts etc and I train grip a lot too, so my wrists aren't small!

I wear my watch on my left writs which is 21cm... That's whilst I'm cold and not training much currently (full of sinusitis etc). But my wrists do get bigger when I'm in full blown training mode etc...

How 'forgiving' are the watch straps and can larger ones be bought at all (Apple or aftermarket)?

Cheers

The trail loop supports up to 220mm, which is I think the same as sports loops.
So they may be on the edge for you.

Some 3rd party allow custom sizes...

Well I've ordered the watch via Currys (good percentage back via Topcashback)

I've gone with the Green alpine strap but ordered the Midnight Ocean band via Amazon too; that states its for up to 250mm, so that should fit fine)

Gone with the Spigen screen protector also!

Will report back on how I find it; excited now haha 😂

Congrats on the AWU! One caveat about that Midnight Ocean band (which I got with my AWU). Checking the band size on Apple's site, it says the Ocean band is one size that fits wrists 130-200mm. (I have a 193mm wrist and with the Ocean band, I'm on the third hole from the end.) So for 210mm it might not work. Maybe you got the super long extension? Just wanted to offer a heads-up!

Cheers for that; I've got the blue Ocean strap & extension on their way to me via Amazon UK as well as an aftermarket Orange strap

So will report back on how they fit 👍🏼

I have large wrists and appreciate the fact that the trail loop that came with my Apple Watch Ultra stretches on an as needed basis.

Re-measured this morning with my wife doing the measuring and not me trying to do it 😂

My wrists are 23cm!

So will see what's what when it lands...

Apple Watch Ultra has landed; the Alpine loop fits well TBH; so sticking with that for now...

Tried the Ocean loop and it's uncomfortable, so that's got sent back
