Apple Watch Ultra Screen dimming

Hello,

I have the AWU since 3 days but I have a strange behavour when I turn off the aod. Can you see the brightness it is first a little bit low and then gets higher. Is this normal? It is when it’s a littel bit darker in the room. In direct sunlight it is normal

I don't think its an issue. Its that the watch itself is so bright, that the always on mode looks like its on, and when you turn your wrist you see it turn on to even more ridiculous brightness.

To me it looks intentional, a gradual transition to whatever brightness settings you had.

Thank you for the replies! Yes I think it is normal I just thought Apple will do it „smoother“

I think the transition is more noticeable, and yes I agree it is, because the watch is literally 2x as bright as any other Apple Watch.
