Ordered from Verizon yesterday for a S/M black trail loop and it has already shipped with a Monday delivery. Much better than my Amazon order which hasn't changed from "expected by Nov 6th" since I placed it in late September.

I don’t wear it with my Ultra as it’s too long actually.
My Ultra came with the s/m trail loop and it is very nice, I think it’s probably the most comfortable Ultra specific band. However I found my old sport loop bands to be be even more comfortable, but as you noted too long on the Ultra. So I ordered a new 45mm sport loop which is just about the same length as the trail. I interchange them but I do feel the sport loop is more comfortable (and cheaper) and because the fabric that is against the skin is more textured than the trail it tends to slide less down my arm and wrist. If they had just replicated the sport loop for the trail that would have been the ultimate Ultra band. But if I should ever need another band I would order another sport loop and save the $50 again.

Got my Trail Loop Blue/Grey M/L band from T-Mobile. I have 175mm wrists and it fits perfectly fine. Now waiting for the Black/Gray M/L from Apple. While very confortable, I do prefer the Ocean band for weight lifting, running and biking. The Trail Loop is going to be used for everything else but workouts.

Anyone in the UK near the Lakeside Shopping Centre in Thurrock the Apple Store has the black/grey ones for pickup tomorrow right now. I’d go there to get one but it’s too far for me to travel.

Well I got my (wrong) band (blue/grey) from tmob....now I think I like it....so its a keeper. Awaiting black/grey from Apple....and I might put the yellow one on my Christmas list.

But I will say the packaging for these bands (and the Ultra) is ridiculously large and wasteful. Shame on you Apple!

I wish my Sports loop wasn't that long. When it was used with my Series 4, it was fine and certainly had room to be shorter (if that makes sense). With the Ultra, I learned that because the body of the watch is bigger, it means the bands/loops will need to be shorter. With my existing Sports loop, it's so long that the tail end poke several CMs above the body of the watch. It's so long that I was able to accidentally unhook the strap just by normal swinging my arms as I walk. I was afraid this could cause a disaster -- Ultra slipping off my wrist which it did, slightly -- so I stopped wearing the Sports loop.

I never liked the looks of the Sports loop though. It's ugly. But yes, it is very comfortable and very adjustable.

Hmm...it might feel very OEM but does not look OEM at all. Look at how the band is sewn on to the bottom lug. Instead of wrapping the fabric so that the seam is hidden, the seam is showing. That to me makes the band looks like you're wearing it "inside out".
The oem band is no different. See oem band photo below

Thanks for pointing that out. After others posted images of their OEM band, I noticed that and posted so in this thread. I have tried the Trail loop in person before, but never noticed the issue. I tried on the black one with the orange loop at the tailend; wonder if the black colour made it hard to see the seam.

The one reason I can see why Apple chose to have the seam on the visible side is the seam might irritate some wrists. But I'd think there is a design way around this or a way to make the seam barely noticeable.

I ordered the trail loop at the same time as my Ultra (with the alpine loop since it was shipping faster) from Apple the day after the event, and there’s still no signs of movement. The shipping date bumped up to November 1-8 after ordering, but there was a time when new orders were listed as delivering by something like Oct 25th or 28th a few weeks ago. It’s a little disappointing that stores are getting stock before fulfilling orders that were placed like a month and a half ago.

The black/gray medium/large trail loop is in stock now at Verizon. I just got an order in and paid overnight shipping for Saturday delivery.

Edit Sorry I just checked again and now it's on back order for Nov 11 and my order says it will ship then.

Verizon let you place the order, despite it going out of stock aparently in the few seconds you were placing the order? Weak.

This is ridiculous already. Shame on Apple for not even being able to keep a piece of cloth and velcro in stock. What, do they some guy making them one at a time in his basement?

I placed the order and billed it to my Verizon account, it said in stock. It triggered a fraud alert that put the order on hold. I called to get it taken care of but by then they were all gone.

I have an order in with Apple for Nov 11-18 so I'll just wait and see which one ships first.

Yes, it's ridiculous waiting for a band like this. I can understand the delays on the devices but like you said it's just a band.

I wonder if it’s to make the band pull slightly tighter to the wrist. If the stitching was on the otherwise, the loop would be slightly further out. Might be a way to help elevate the fit on smaller wrists. That was my initial reaction when I put it on.

So what’s your wrist in mm? Curious as I used alpine in M and had it closed in strap 4, sometimes 3 - like boardiesboi

I don't have a soft tape to measure, but it sounds like we are about the same. My M Alpine fastens on stop 4.

The Apple band is looped to the outside as well, but the details are much finer (as you would hope).

Just received the black/grey trail loops on S/M.

It’s somehow shorter than the blue/grey that I’ve been wearing. Could it have stretched so much already!?!?

Not sold on the black/grey yet. Looks a bit boring haha

How long have you had the blue/grey loop?

I was actually wondering the same thing. Based on the material the trail loops are made of, I was curious if the band will stretch over time, and if so, how much. That is the other reason I am okay with the S/M. Granted, it fits great now. But if it stretches out a little, I will be fine with that too. Only time will tell.

Probably 4 weeks. I didn't measure its length when I first got it but it seems like it has stretched a bit.

Maybe the trail loop will be the next version of the braided solo loop with a ton of “does it stretch” posts? 😂 Granted, I highly doubt that Apple’s quality control would allow them to ship any bands of the same style/size that are not the same length.
