The craftmanship of the AWU is just sublime, but for me its the battery life. I only sync a couple of times a day to my iPhone, which means i get close to 1 weeks battery life in between charges. I'm looking at my AWU3 now (Tues 21:20 hrs UK time) at 16% and it was last charged on Thursday at 08:36.

Do you keep the radios disabled?

They're not handbuilt by craftsmen - they are 3d printed then machined automatically for the last part.

Yes they are a quality item and well made but I don't think any craftsmen were involved.

Yes airplane mode when not connected to my iphone, but activate wifi when needed throughout the day. This is how I've always used my apple watches since series 1. Mainly as a glorified fitbit.

Ok yes craftsmanship is the wrong word as not hand made, but you know what i mean, very high build quality, one of apples finest in my opinion.

Yeah - I'm really happy with mine. Sorry - I was being a bit pedantic - it's an ASD thing.

This "tank" started giving me wrist pain, so I have stopped all things Apple Watch. The non-flat back is now a showstopper for me.
That’s a shame… did you wear it very tight? I practically don’t notice it, comfortable enough for sleep tracking as well.

If anything, I wore it too loose. It's really just the dome shape for me. I'll try it again when it goes flat.

My U3 is my 4th watch. I was leery about the clunky look, my arms are skinny. Someone mentioned interference with sleeves, I have a windbreaker with elastic cuff’s and it’s a hassle if I need to interact w/ the watch. I wear mine 24x7 except to charge. I use it mostly to track exercise, health, sleep, and podcasts. I make good use of the action button, my action is a shortcut to a menu of other actions. It’s way more watch than I need, except I really wanted to have a red watch face for sleeping and at night if I’m outside. My first AW had that capability and somewhere along the line it was removed by Apple. It is available in U2 & U3 and the red face is so important to me that it is the primary reason I bought the U3. I’m in my late 70’s, I owe myself a treat and the U3 is it. The red face at night does not blind me if I happen to touch the screen.
