My venerable old Series 4 is slowly dying - or at least it requires a battery service, apparently - so I'm looking at an Ultra given I currently wear the S4 and a Garmin fēnix and would like to be able to ditch one watch for day to day (and overnight) use.

It's on the expensive 42mm silver link bracelet I bought back in the day for my first Apple Watch which to this day draws comments from some people who see it and I really like it.

Has anyone managed to pair them up? I'm thinking they're not compatible and I might be stuck with a cheaper-looking strap. It is listed if you select the 49mm case size and scroll down, but on the actual strap page it seems to suggest only 42-45mm?

Don‘t worry, it‘s compatible.

So I see your $349 band, and it's awesome. I love the clasp so much. But I just couldn't stomach the price. So I bought one on Amazon (NewWays Metal Band) for $25. To me, it's good enough to dress up my watch, and I've received many compliments on it over the past year. Obviously you already have the band, so you can disregard my comments there, but don't hate on "the cheaper looking straps" that you have to "settle for."

Sorry, I meant specifically the Apple offerings for the Ultra which are (as always well designed) plastic bands.

On my Garmin, I'm using a cheap steel(?) bracelet from Amazon, so it's not meant to be a snobbish post in any way, but having spent so much getting the Apple steel bracelet in the first place, I didn't want it to be obsolete.
