After updating to latest OS on my iPhone (iOS 18.2), my apple watch last 8 hour max. Before, my series 5 (watchOS 10.6.1) lasted all day without trouble.

I'd give it a few days and if doesn't straighten out you can unpair and re-pair your watch..
