I am interested in getting an Apple Watch but have some concerns wearing since I am in a manual wheelchair. I have been in a chair for 27 yrs and previously wore watches but not in a long time.

Does anyone have experience with the 38 mm while using a chair? Is it comfortable with a sport band? Will I be harassed every hour to Stand Up? What about the step counter, will it count pushes of the wheel?

I look forward to any help I can receive with this.

You can cut off the Stand Up nag screen. Also you will get 'steps' and Move calories counted because of your arm motion.

That's good to know that I can turn off the Stand Up screen. I'm really interested to see how the steps and Move calories are counted with pushing.

At my local Apple Store there is a sales employee who sits in a wheelchair. She has an Apple Watch and when I was in the store buying AppleCare+ for mine we were comparing notes. She really likes hers she says. She got all excited when I used mine to pay for the AppleCare (which was on April 27, so not too many people had them at that point).
