Since I’ve owned an Apple Watch, dating back to Series 2, I would delete a message on the watch, knowing it would still exist on the iPhone. I was more than okay with that, and frankly had become used to it.

Essentially, I only kept what I deemed to be the most important messages on the watch, so I wouldn’t have to scroll to find the message thread I was looking for.

However, in the WatchOS 11 Beta, I’ve found that when you delete a message on the watch, it now deletes it on the iPhone. This is frustrating, and can’t seem to figure out or find away to prevent this from happening.

Anyone have any ideas? Suggestions? Similar experience?

If this is how it’s now working - about bloody time!! We have been asking for this for years - ever since the Apple Watch first came out.

I don’t know if you can disable it to work how you want it to though - i would expect not.

I agree, I hated having to delete message in my watch separately. Having them gone in all my devices at once is a god send for me!
