when you scratch up the aluminum screen once, you'll wish you stayed SS
I've been pretty fortunate and do not have any real scratches on my aluminum S3.

Where did you get the specs that confirm no DLC for S7 Stainless Steel? And whether S8 has it as well? If that's the case then the Silver wouldn't have it either, no? Anyways, I have gone SS Silver for a couple generations now, looking forward to that shade color change.I have an S7 graphite and I’ll probs go back to silver SS next if possible. The S7 graphite doesn’t have DLC whereas the S6 did. Odd for what was touted as “the most durable Apple Watch yet” (last year)
It was a big discussion on here last year and it was confirmed by apple on part of that discussion, and they removed the mention of DLC from their website. I think someone used wayback to see DLC was referred to on the S6 graphite.Where did you get the specs that confirm no DLC for S7 Stainless Steel? And whether S8 has it as well. This is absolutely not true. The PVD SS graphite/gold scratches easily and you can't polish it.
It is true, I have a graphite watch and it’s scratched easily. Also others have reported the same. And also due to the coating you can’t polish the scratches out. I tried a cape cod cloth which worked on my silver SS, and it doesn’t work. So, what I said is entirely true. This is absolutely not true.
