Apple Website Gains 'Mix and Match' Apple Watch Gallery

Not the same thing at all. The iPhone was also subsidized under a two-year contract that buried most of the actual cost of the phone, with wildly fluctuating rate plans.
Also, how do you explain that Apple is still selling the Edition models a year later, after Tim Cook specifically said they would be sold in "very limited" quantities at the launch?
Not sure how this advances the discussion. This site posts a broad range of Apple-related news, including some that is more obviously technology-related. Many readers (including me) care about this stuff, and it's obviously important to what Apple is trying to do. If you don't like this type of news, it would make more sense to ask the mods for a filter mechanism or to find a site that better fits your interests than it would to tell the rest of us about your non-interest in this topic.
I just don't think it's front page worthy. Maybe we need a fashion section where man bags, pink phones and watch straps can be discussed and commented with those who are interested to their hearts content.

Very limited at launch means exactly that, AT LAUNCH there will be very limited quantities.
I hate to break it to you, but watch straps are much more integral to Apple's priorities than, for example, Mac Pro updates.
Besides, whatever your personal preferences, your reply didn't address my response, which focused on the uselessness of your original post. If you want the site to be more tech-oriented, suggest that to the mods. Merely telling the rest of us that you don't care about this topic is disrespectful to those of us who do and doesn't accomplish anything.
This is one of the best laid out, easy to navigate and customize tech news and rumors sites I visit. It's easy to see what you want to see and skip on past what you don't.
The price cut isn't just good for getting people who are on the fence about their first purchase. For those like me who loved the Apple Watch from the first try, it's a great incentive to get a second in another color. I'm starting to see more and more people wearing them and more women wearing them.

Watch (or their first one actually). New faces or bands are nice to have, but I think we all agree what we're waiting for, right?
