Why are prices posted in terms of '£' now instead of '$' .. I'm not a brit, I live in the US.. Is this happening for anyone else?

A close look at the URL revealed it was a UK site, changing that portion to US reverted it back.. I suppose the relevant question is why it would have gone there in the first place?
