I am recently going to be moving to Southern California to attend a Video Editing school, and I would preferably like to not have to bring in my laptop everyday to class and slug that ***** thing around. Therefore I've been doing research looking up just how to get my apple Wireless keyboard to work my iphone 3G w/ a 3.1.2 version and all of the latest UP to date..updates. lol.

I need some input you guys , this would save my entire school career immensely.

Also if I can get a list of good accreditors for apps from the Cydia store that are good that would be nice too. haha.

First posts are always the hardest.

Yeah the first response on this thread was a prtty non-related to the topic...
And thats especially since its only a 6 month program, yeah Id say it would.

Anyways, I'm gonna test out the link I tried out this week on the keyboard itself, since I have an old Edge phone hanging around here somewhere.
If anyone has any NEW INPUT AS TO THE TOPIC OF THIS THREAD then please respond!

Newbies with attitude. What a lovely combination. So, if you can't get this idea to work, you wouldn't take your laptop, you'd just flush your career down the drain? Yeah, right.

What you want to do has already been done. a simple Google for 'iphone keyboard' was all it took.

I didn't even look at the link you posted because I thought no one would be so stupid as to ask the question if they already saw that information. Since you already knew about it, why'd you start this thread in the first place? First posts aren't the hardest, they're the dumbest, not to mention what does "a list of good accreditors for apps from the Cydia store that are good" mean?

First of all, if you had even gone to the link that I provided, you would have seen that all of the sources on there are dead, and that you cannot find the necessary things in order to settle the deal.

Instead of trolling and hanging onto other topics, why cant people just answer the question in regards to the title of the thread. Trolls are everywhere nowadays, go back to Facebook.

    2. I went to the apple store today and bought the Keyboard , but since Ive NEVER unlocked my iphone this is all new stuff for me, therefore some actual input as to someone else who has actually DONE this and/or has something more credibable then retarded half truth youtube videos then please, do not post on this topic.

You don't have to 'unlock' your iPhone to do this. Jailbreak, yes. Unlock, no.

Your humble and teachable spirit will serve you well in video editing school.

What's so hard to understand about the following taken from the link you posted? The article is dated Dec 23, 2009. Jailbreak, buy the software in Cydia, buy the keyboard and you're done. BTStack works with the Apple BT keyboard.

Once you've jailbroken your iPhone and installed Cydia, you'll need to look for the BTstack Keyboard package, which is available for US$5. There's a free demo version also available for Cydia that allows limited use of a Bluetooth keyboard. The BTstack Keyboard package enables many of the normal features of a keyboard, including the arrow keys. This package should work with most of the apps already on your iPhone, and allows you to type in editable text views and text fields. You'll also be able to use a Bluetooth keyboard for entering text in web views.
