And thats all great for you :) And it would be stupid not to take those money if you can.

What I’m saying is that somebody is paying those $300. Either other customers, credit card holders, yourself (but just in small bits here and there), the shops (and therefore also you)…

One thing I can guarantee you is that it’s NOT the credit card company or the manufacturer handing out these money for free.
The fees are paid by everyone, but more so by those who do not take the cash back ... unless the vendor is giving a cash discount.

So feeding the dog it’s own tail apart from some dogs turn down the offer and other dogs will eat their tail 😂

It takes time, and effort ($$$$s) to deal with cash on a daily basis. Counting and security are not free. I have seen it argued that dealing with credit card processing fees is cheaper than dealing with large amounts of cash and everything that goes with that cash. So, maybe encouraging people to use cards and contactless payments is cheaper for businesses in the long run than processing lots of cash.

Please distinguish between cash as in physical coins and paper bills and then electronic “cash” payments as debit cards. I’m not suggesting physical money - that’s so last millennium.

Maybe it’s because Denmark where I live has had a national based electronic debit card system for my entire life…

Oddly enough you only get those “benefits” if you pay with credit card in Denmark (and it’s not very common).

BTW: You still get 2 years of guarantee on whatever gadget you buy no matter how you pay.

This is tough, because people use "Cash" in both senses of the word. Some people use "Cash" as in physical money, and some people just use "cash" as money that is just your own money, albeit, digital form etc.
