I believe Nermal was talking about his local online store, New Zealand. Not the US one.

IBookstore is actually since a couple of days up for most of Europe, there's just not much if any content in them. But contet providers now have an option to include some European countries.

As for iTunes match coming to EU on Wednesday, I doubt it, but maybe this year.

Actually.... iBookstore has been in Ireland for around 18 months without any content other than the free project guttenburg books. It defeats the purpose of having the store if it doesn't have content though, hence Kindle tends to dominate my iAd even though I prefer the iBooks application.

After 18 months I'm not holding my breath that iTunes match will appear here anytime soon as much I would be willing to pay for it, and utilize it.

They need to kill regional license deals with fire! We finally have the iTunes movie store here now (Netherlands), and the purchase of an HD movie in iTunes (720p remember) is $5 more expensive than buying the bluray (1080p) in the store. Why would I buy a digital file if I can have the same (or even better) for less money and not have the fuss of making backups etc. to protect my digital purchase?

I think these media producers need a little bit of education about elasticity.

I agree on the quality part, id rather also have 1080p. As for cost, I dunno. Sure, Id like it to be cheaper, but id gladly pay more for this than a bluray (providing apple lets me redownload if I loose the file for some reason). It saves me the hassle of going to the store, saves me gas money, saves the enviroment. There are plenty of reasons for going all digital over having a plastic box with a disc in it collecting dust in the bookshelf.

I still don't see the point of iCloud. I'm not going to pay to store stuff I can store for free on my own.

I hope they do get it sorted - as it stands at the moment, iCloud outside the USA is very much a second class citizen!

scan and match is brilliant. I hope it detects music by the actual sound rather than just the name and tag. if that was it, damn amazing.

for $25, it makes Lion look like a super bargain!

Not alone at all. I think it's completely useless and another silly way for Apple to get money for things people can get for free.

...But its free. And isn't centred around storage, its more focused on background syncing, like WhisperSync on Kindle.
