I think the exterior phone screen will have a Dynamic Island (or Dynamic Circle if it goes hole-punch), but the internal iPad screen won’t. Just like with their separate devices.Im curious if they will keep the dynamic island with software, make it invisible when no live activities are present, show the island when activities are present.
Yes but isn't the "all screen iPhone" the 20th anniversary one? Based on other rumors... And even if apple considers the first foldable to be the 20th anniversary iPhone, that's still before 2027...Nah.
2025 - iPhone 17
2026 - iPhone 18
2027 - iPhone XX
Apple has been calling them all-screen iPhones since the X. And while they might call one of them that, technically any phone they released in 2027 is a 20th anniversary phone, just like 8, 8 Plus, and X were all 10th anniversary phones.Yes but isn't the "all screen iPhone" the 20th anniversary one? I’m sure Apple would keep the functionality with the hole punch. Even if there was somehow no hole punch at all, I’m sure Apple would figure out a slick way to keep the functionality but have it appear from the edge of the screen or something and then disappear back into the edge when not in use.I like the Dynamic Island functionality so I hope it doesn’t goes away even with a centered hole punch camera; also it Apple were to drops DI UX functionality after just four years there is less incentive for developers to include future UX functionality.
