Ok, so first Apple replaces my early 08' Penryn 2.5GHZ MBP with a Quad 2.2 i7 on 2/24. I had opted for the Matte screen on my old one, but the one they exchanged for me was glossy, but I wasn't going to too nit picky as I felt as if I won the lottery! Anyways i went back in there for some software problem (apparently an update is coming sooner than later) with my TIFF files. While I was in there I asked them if it was possible that i could pay the difference and get a Matte screen as that is what I had on my old one. The genius looked at my history and indeed agreed that I should've been given a machine with the Matte screen, but would have to get approval on how to go about it, either order a BTO or just swap screens. Well I get a call last night and he told me that they ordered a Matte screen and will swap me! That is crazy good service if you ask me! So I am assuming my current screen will be used on a refurb or something? Anyways just wanted to go against the current and post a thread on how AppleCare works and that Apple DOES take care of its' customers.
