I checked apple service manuals last night and I noticed that ALL notebooks are only civered up to 300 cycles... So i think we are both wrong in this one.

Click to expand... not sure which service manual your reading, but im looking at the online service manuals, they state 300 cycles on rev a and 750 on rec b/c. all other notebooks are now covered with 1000 cycles garuntee's(non removable), your reading ALL notebooks with removable batteries are covered with 300 cycles counts, aside from the air b/c which retains 750.

Best Buy is an authorized service 'seller' so I would just take it in to them than? I'll have to call them to make sure later. I wouldn't feel comfortable having to ship a 27-inch iMac but Applecare is a lot cheaper compared to Best Buy's warranty.
