I have an iMac G5 here at work that was purchased almost a year ago... I recently had to take it in to the Apple store for a repair, and found out that there was no Applecare service plan on it, despite the fact that my boss purchased one with it at CompUSA. I have the receipt, and it shows that the Applecare plan was purchased (and lists a serial number for it)... but we don't have anything else. Were we supposed to get a box with Applecare info in it? How would they have even rung it up at the cash register without that? I tried using the serial number to register the applecare agreement online (as the "agreement enrollment number"), but it didn't accept it as a valid number. I'd like to get it resolved, since the computer is now very loud (fan runs constantly) after having been repaired, and the 1 year warranty will be up in a week. Thanks for any advice.
