My fan seems abnormally hot even when just typing this on macrumors. It is very loud and kicks in really quick. If I wanted to have it checked out by apple would i have to pay if I have AppleCare? I have a feeling something is wrong but if it is not I do not want to be charged

Install iStat Pro to get accurate readings of your temps, among other things.
Your Mac is probably not overheating. Macs are designed to automatically shut down to prevent damage if they truly overheat (around 100C/212F - 105C/221F, depending on your processor). Your temps are most likely well within the normal operating range.
