Hi all,

Apologies if this one has been answered before, I have searched for an answer but couldn't find one explicitly for this.

I have access to Apple Education discount in the UK and am interested in buying a MacBook Air. However, with a current promotion on, I can get the MBA cheaper from a non-apple retail store. The problem is, I would also like to to buy three year apple care. I'm pretty certain you can add apple care on to a product within the first year of its life, but I was wondering whether I can buy AppleCare at the discounted education rate if I didn't buy the original MBA from the education store?

Hopefully that makes sense. I'm grateful for any help/advice.
