Has anyone seen this before? I ordered a 16 Pro for both my wife and myself. Her AppleCare was confirmed and I got an email within an hour of pickup. Mine claims it does not have AppleCare and I need to pay for it in settings. When I look back at both of the orders, though, it should already be paid for.

Do I need to shut up and wait a couple of days?

Yeah, this is not unusual. Took a while on my 15 PM last year. So yes... shut up and wait, lol.

That’s fair, just felt odd that my wife’s is already happy. I’ll shut up and ignore it for a couple of days, thanks folks :)

As an update, it still isn’t showing up on my device five days later. Support chat was less than useful a bit ago. Has anyone actually seen it take quite this long before?

Did you ever receive the email about AppleCare+ Coverage for your iPhone? If not then it was not processed correctly. Don't waste your time on the Chat. Call 1-800-275-2273.

Chat can see if it’s on there or not - that’s about it.

Agreements department is only available by telephone.

Did you finalize the setup on the phone through the support app or under the settings>warranty section? Chatting through the support app is the fastest way for them to call you or talk to them about it

I’m not sure what you mean by finalize it — I’ve never had to do so in the past, and my wife’s 16 pro AppleCare was confirmed before it was even unboxed.

I’ll try giving that team a call tomorrow or Friday though :)

Give them a call and they can resolve it at their end. It happened to my wife's 13 PM. Paid for it at the store after pickup and it didn't apply for 2 days. Call them up and give them all the information and they fixed it within 24 h.

Keep your receipt and proof of purchase and they can always find it if you purchase it from apple store. If you purchase it from other place like Costco, then it is more challenging for Apple to find the proof of purchase.

Final update for anyone else who may stumble upon this in the future :)

This was a pickup order directly from Apple in an Apple Store. The AppleCare was purchased with the device on the same order.

It took about 40 minutes on the phone thanks to needing to be escalated to someone more senior, but they were able to fix it. Apparently the contract existed on their end, but was never tied back to my serial number on launch day for whatever reason. She had to try linking it up a couple of times before it finally worked, but it's good to go now. I guess this happens more than we'd like to think on launch day just due to the sheer volume of phones getting activated at once.
