On June 30, 2007, I purchased the 1st gen iPhone. So, in a couple of days, my year will be up. My question is should I buy AppleCare for it? At this point, I am unsure what I will do with it (sell it, give it to someone, or keep it); I do plan on getting the 3g version. However, I don't want to give it to a friend and then it soon dies on them or keep it and the same thing. Right now, the battery is still good, but who knows how long it will last?

i think the only person who can really answer that question is yourself. however, i personally don't think the extra $70 is worth another year of applecare, especially if i was planning to upgrade to the iphone 3g.
