Applecare for my future Ipad

i wonder what the warranty setup will be for these devices.

will service providers be able to do repairs or will we be stuck taking them to apple stores or sending in.

this for me is very important.


i want to protect my investment.

Oh. Haha, that sucks. Just another reason for me to not get an iPhone.

I was also wondering about the warranty a while back. It'll probably be something like 2 years, but I hadn't thought about the AASP/Apple issue.

You'll bring it into the Apple store just like the rest of their products. If you buy it from certain resellers, you might be able to get it serviced through them.
Keep in mind, Apple does not really fix iPhones or iPods. If the device is malfunctioning and you are under warranty, they generally give you a brand new device.
I'm not sure if you are new to Apple or not, but just in case you don't know, AppleCare does not cover accidental damage. If the device malfunctions as the result of a manufacturing defect, you're covered.
