I have had my new 20" IMac now for over a month. I am receiving e-mails from Apple with a pitch to buy Applecare which would extend phone and hardware support to 3 years. I believe the cost is $169-. What do you guys think, a good use of money, or should I assume my system will run good without hardware failures for three years. I'm debating if the purchase makes sense, but would appreciate my fellow users thoughts. Thanks all!
I'd get it...I've heard many stories of people with a 3 year old machine getting it replaced with the brand new version
Check eBay first. If your system runs without problems for the next year you are probably safe. You still have over 10 months to buy it. It will probably increase resale value if that's important to you.
When Leopard pops, so will I, for a new i-Mac and it will have Applecare from the git go. This isn't what we know or are use to from Dell,HP, or any local shop
