The way I understand the coverage the screen isn’t covered under AppleCare. Is this true?
Purchased IPad Air 4th gen from apple refurb store last week. Also would like to cover my wife’s iPad 10. Seems the screen isn’t covered on that as well. tia

Why do you think the screen is not covered? Reading from the Apple website to me it says it is covered:

Could OP be referring to dead pixels maybe? Some insurances state that a unit has to have more than x dead pixels to qualify for replacement.

Or perhaps OP reads this as excluding earlier models

Screen-Only Damage (all iPad Air 11” (M2), iPad Air 13” (M2), iPad Pro 11” (M4), iPad Pro 13” (M4) models only): US$29

Other Accidental Damage (all iPad Air 11” (M2), iPad Air
13” (M2), iPad Pro 11” (M4), iPad Pro 13” (M4) models only): US$99

Other Accidental Damage (all other iPad models): US$49

This is what I’m seeing.

That means the $29 screen repair (only) service fee is not available ; screens are still covered - but under the $49 'all other iPad models' .

I'm in the UK and the Air 4 shows up under other damage. This is a more extensive category than the screen one which covers a cracked screen only damaging no other components. It's £39 with AC+ and they still service the Air 3 too.

They will service a product for a minimum of 5 years after it was discontinued. This means they will service it until at least March 8, 2027.

They did change the fees with the new iPads I believe, meaning higher upfront and monthly fees, though I hadn't looked at the categories of service available before so these may or may not have been amended at the same time.

Presumably older models retain their original terms.
