Careless and reckless people that fail to take care of their stuff. They are the ones to always get it. They break and lose phones with zero f’s given. I think it’s appalling and very ungrateful on their behalf.
Not true. I've broken a few devices, not because I'm careless because #$&% happens.
And I'm pretty anal about taking care of everything I own.

Yea I'm on the fence with this one. Normally I buy it when I buy a new MBA or Imac. I did get it when I got my Iphone 12PM. I've only used it ever on desktops. I'm torn as to whether or not to get it for the 13 Pro/PM. I typically get a rugged case....:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

I have a very thin case so I have applecare with theft just in case. In the last 8 years I used apple care 2 times, but I have dropped my phone plenty of times. Hell one time it even fly out of my hand and landed in the toilet..... I should of bought a lottery ticket that day....

Same. You can be the most careful person in the world and still get into an accident, get robbed, etc. My dad wished he had AppleCare+ when his phone was lost.
Agree, all my things over my 37yrs I’ve owned have always been in perfect or near perfect condiction, but accidents happen, robberies happen, etc.. so best to be safe than sorry.

I’ve dropped my X so many times and nothing has happened so I’d think the 13 series would be even better.

My sales rep told me replacing the back glass on the iPhone would require replacing the whole phone which would be $800 CAD?? That is absurd.

Well it’s also an Apple product, meaning build quality and longevity isn’t all that expected. AC+ On my Mac felt like a waste but a week before it expired, my display needed to be replaced. Now if the US government treated right to repair seriously, maybe I wouldn’t need AC+ but until then i will get it.

I always buy AppleCare because I can’t stand cases and screen protectors. I have yet to ever actually use it, but it does give me great peace of mind just in case.

How the

how’s the 13 Robert? Worth the upgrade and is it noticeable on a day to day.
I have seen slightly better signal at times. As fas battery life, something has been using battery the last few days. I set up as new and need to see if it is the OS, setting, or an app. I haven’t seen a noticeable difference day to day. I knew that would be the case when I made the purchase. I am still happy with my purchase.

Accidents do happen (i.e. iPhone slips out of pocket, knocked off table or liquids splashed upon it) and [$1,000+ for an iPhone Pro model] is expensive to replace.
AppleCare+ is insurance. You buy it for your peace of mind even though that has become pricey as well.
For further peace of mind, put a screen protector on the iPhone and then put it into a case.

Good deal. I like how people are saying it’s an improvement over iPhone 12 battery. I’m going to wait maybe when the 14 comes out and there’s no mini. I’ll buy 13 mini on the used marketplace and change the battery life. That or you sell me yours Robert haha.

The house always wins when it comes to insurance products. You will pay more in Apple Care in your lifetime vs. the value you get in repairs/replacements.
I don't get how people don't realize this.

Many people do get it.
Insurance offers peace of mind to those that want/need it.
Accidents do happen.
It's no different than putting a screen protector on the iPhone then using a case.
That iPhone cost a lot of money for lots of people who'd like to protect it.
If you don't want/need it, then don't get it.
Just deal with the consequences if anything happens to your (new) iPhone and don't ever complain.

I normally don't do AppleCare+ for my iPhone or Watch since I've always had both the watch and phone in case with screen protectors. I've been fortunate to have never damaged either, but within the past year I've gotten into riding an electric unicycle and always bring my phone for emergency uses, looking at the map, etc., and always worried in the event of a crash my phone(as well as myself), would get damaged. Decided I'd go and prepay for the AppleCare+ for my 13PM that I upgraded from an XR.

Hope you’ve got SelfCare+ to go alongside it…
