Hi everyone, I’ve been trying to sort this all day, I baby my devices so I worry about damaging my new phones 😅. I have been trying to purchase AppleCare + but I get an error message, I have contacted apple support who said it’s because you have to wait 24hrs after activation? I remember in previous years doing it on the day. Anyone else have any issues?

I am still getting the "This device is not eligible for additional coverage" on a brand new iPhone 13. Unable to do it from the phone and the website. I don't want to hand this over to my son until I can "11 year old" proof it.

you bought it at apple or third party (carrier, Walmart, bestbuy etc)

I bought coverage with my device at pre-order and it hasn’t shown up on the Settings menu quite yet. Might take a bit, but as long as you have the confirmation emails and receipts you should be good if any issues arise during a service event.

I received the same error message. I called Apple and the advisor was able to change some settings on his side and then I was able to purchase through the settings app.

I called and she couldn't get it done, said it was a known thing, but that really doesn't help. How long ago did you call?

My 13pro upon turning it on said I can upgrade with the AppleCare+ but purchased AppleCare+ at time of purchase of phone. Understand it might take a little while to get it shown on my account.

Takes time to register for AC eligibility for 3rd party purchased items. Had an M1 MBA take a few days to show, and my carrier sourced 13 Pro took around 12 hours after initial activation.

That’s been my experience so far. Others may vary etc

I called around noon eastern today. The lady could not figure it would so she passed me over to an AppleCare specialist named Frank and he fixed it. Said it had to do with dates in the system.

Also, for some reason my phone said my regular coverage before buying AppleCare said it expired on 10/10/2022, which is odd because it should only last a year, not a year and 2 weeks. So, I think it is all date related.

I just got my 13 PM and forgot to buy it when I was ordering it. I got home and went into settings and managed to get AC+ with theft coverage. I got my proof of coverage email within a few minutes after.

Same. Picked mine up at the Apple Store at 8am EST. I’m sure it’ll be resolved soon. One other time, I couldn’t activate it on my iPad until the next da.

I’m thinking of adding theft and loss to my Apple care. Anyone know if I can do that?

Same issue. Apple Care Plus purchased with device, 2 year plan. It is not reflection on the Apple warranty web site or on the iPhone itself. By the time I reached an Applecare representative , he asked to wait 72 hours and it will be corrected. Year after year Apple manages to mes up something when they launch new iPhone. You would think that by now they would have nailed this. They should hire Amazon to manage the ordering and delivering, they seem to do it better.

Even Amazon has gotten really bad the past few years, in my own experience.

I had specifically planned to wait, then purchase from the phone once I had it all set up but I was picking it up in the store the girl asked if I wanted to add it and against my better judgement I said yes. Now my agreement isnt connected to my serial number and chat tells me I have to call the admin team and it feels like I’m working on a Saturday. Sigh.

I wonder if any of these launch day issues are tied into the watch delays. It seems they have a lot to work out before everyone is at 100%.

Finally got mine posted and it took around 22 hours sense the arrival of the iPhone

3 days and still no luck, just get told that “our engineers are working hard to resolve the issue”. Had my purchase date corrected and still no luck and no option to add it from the device and “This device is not eligible for additional coverage” message from the support website when trying to add it there with the Serial Number. This is for a plane old iPhone 13.

I decided to wait it out because if this advice and a few others and it resolved on its own this morning. I received an e-mail confirmation that my device is now covered and the the section in ‘settings’ where it tells you how many days you have left to sign up disappeared before my eyes.

Same thing is happening to me. Were you ever able to fix this?
