Purchased iphone 12 + applecare in same order. Got the 12 today and noticed on my support page and on iphone applecare plus isnt showing up on phone. Called in just now and was oddly told to wait 72 hours. Never had to wait that long for applecare show up, has anyone else experienced the same recently?

It took almost a week for mine to show up and was purchased with the preorder. I think they are just behind on the processing.

I had the same experience with my iPad in a recent purchase. It did take roughly 3 days or so to show up under my settings. No big deal.

I had a similar issue when renewing my AppleCare+ Monthly on my XS Max, it took a few days for it to appear back under setting - about, kept saying no coverage or expired, now says when it renews again this month.

Anybody know if I am still allowed up to a year to purchase AC+ for my new iPhone 12 Pro? Under the setting it says I have about 60 days to buy AC even though I knew that Apple changed their policy recently to allow us to obtain AC at a much later day as long as it is within a year.

Pretty sure they didn’t change it so it can be taken out up to a year... You have 60 days, that’s it.

Can do monthly payment option as well.

hmmm almost the 72 hours and still nothign.
I'm experiencing the same issue, wife ordered a iphone 12 + applecare for me. We received the phone today but the appelcare+ showed up as "still available for purchase". After 3 hours I have been through FIVE apple support. Everyone of them is as useless as the previous one, it all ended with I will have to transfer you to blah. everyone ask the same set of questions and everyone wasted 30-40 minutes of my time. Is this how Apple runs their support these days?

So did you ever get your Applecare+ to show up in the end?

Give it time, had the same issues on my 12 Pro Max. A day or two after I purchased apple care it showed up in the phone.

You need to stop calling and use the text message function for Apple support. Less hold time.

Thanks, except four of the five chat WAS online chat. Each time they "try" to help which wasted 30-40 minutes, then they said sorry this is AppleCare+ related we can't help. The the one phone call that they setup for me? That was even more useless, the call ended in "oh applecare+"? That's not my department. Then why the hell did you just spoke to me for 30 minuets knowing this was completely applecare+ related issue?

If a phone is exchanged by Apple then Applecare+ is automatically transferred. Not sure about AT&T. Check under settings, general, about to see if it has been transferred.

Just purchase it in the  Support App if it doesn't show up in the settings!
Can't, first) the applecare+ is already paid for during the purchase of the phone. If I were to purchase it through the settings I'd be paying twice. second) I actually tired that, it came back and say his device is not available for applecare+ (brand new iPhone 12...). I think best thing to do now is to wait, but boy the customer service is terrible.

I think I asked you this before and I being lazy about going back but do you have proof of purchase either through email/paper receipt or a debit from your bank account?
