Is there any point in getting AppleCare + for a watch that is adveRtised to be so durable? It’s only $5 a month so it’s not asking for much, my only concern would it replace my watch if the screen was just slightly scratched that’s the only possibility I could see happening.

At $5/mo that's almost worth it just for battery coverage, even if you never need anything else. Free battery replacement with AppleCare+ vs $99 without.

If you figure you'll need a new battery in, say, 2 years - you can deduct that $99 from what you paid for AC+. So think of it as "Protection" for 2 years for $20, not $120.

I usually get it on watches because they tend to get smacked into things like doorframes. That said I only had to file a claim on my Series 1 for OLED burn-in. Never used it for accidental damage on any of them.

I always have AC+ on my AWs, there’s more than screen scratches that CAN happen, plus, battery if you keep your watch long enough. Though my Ultra1 after 1 year is still at 99%, it’ll take a while…
I did get AC+ on my U2 of course

It if is “worth” it to you, only you can decide

I reminded myself when replying to another post - the speaker on my S4 SBSS got fainter and fainter after around 2.5 years - watch got replaced under AC+, still have it at 95% battery health.
There are other things that can go wrong, but again, you must decide for yourself
