just looking round the forum apparentlty if you buy online with HE discount you get 3 warranty but if you buy instore you only get 1? isit true...and and is it worth getting the applecare if you already get a 3 year warranty?

that depends on whether or not you need the extra 2yrs phone support because in essence, that's what you'll be paying the extra ~£50 for.
 
i had a loook at the t's & c's on the HE website but doenst mention anything about a 3 year warranty?

Unless a new policy (doubt it...since when does Apple not want our money?) HE is just a discount. You must pay for AC.

EDU pricing of AC is also discounted...otherwise why have the AC EDU part numbers? 🙂

In my experience, regardless of where you buy from, if it's under a HE discount you'll get 3 years applecare repairs etc. and 1 year of phone support included in the deal.

The extra £50 or so is to extend the phone support by 2 years, as per the image above by 'bigjobby'.

No. In store = no 3 year warranty. Online/phone = yes. Even if they tell you otherwise!

Difference between that and Applecare is small.
