AppleCare Plus question

Hi,
I have an Ipad2 and I cracked my screen, I have apple care plus and was told I can pay a service fee and get a replacement. This is great but am wondering my ipad still works fine you wouldnt know by looking at it that the screen is cracked so I was wondering what happens to my Ipad am I able to buy it back off them?

i mean that they will take my old one off me to replace it with a new one or refurbished one, so i was hoping id be able to still keep my old one aswell as it still works fine.

No, they'll want the old one back. There're not going to let you keep it unless you're okay with paying the non-return fee.

Nope. Not how it works. It's a swap.

We get that. The answer is that it is a swap. Apple keeping the old one is the biggest part of why you get the new one. If they don't keep the old one you haven't earned the cheap price.
