Quick one folks. I have AppleCare on a 3G iPhone about to expire and I was going to give it to my daughter. Can I renew AppleCare again for a further period?

I called AppleCare and requested a refund for the rest of my warranty so that I could apply it to my new iPhone. They just need the warranty number and they'll send you a check in 4-6 weeks for the pro-rated amount. Hope this helps.
Also, I witnessed my first iPhone 4 commercial (face time) and I must have said "you're holding it wrong," about 10 times. My sub conscious must be holding a grudge.

You can only add an additional 1 year after the 1 year free Applecare given with the phone.
So a total of 2 years max.
You cant get it for any longer and you have to be still under the 1st years warranty in order to extend for another year.
