I bought my iMac (20-inch) back in 2008 with the 3 year Applecare protection plan. Apple has since then discontinued the same model. My screen cracked and I need it fixed. But if they discontinued it, what will they do? Will they repair it for me? or will they give me a new one, or what...???😡

They have replacement parts for it. You won't get a new one.

Speaking from the point of an Apple Service provider. Being as old as it is, Apple typically considers any sort of crack/scratch user damage and will not cover it.

AppleCare doesn't cover damage from accidents. You'll have to pay to have the screen repaired.
