According to Apple, Applecare registration numbers From Canada cannot be used with USA serial numbers. They tell me the registration will not work.

Ohhh you mean registering AppleCare. Once it's registered it's a global warranty, so your Mac can be serviced anywhere. I'm not sure about registering AppleCare. Sorry I misinterpreted your post. 🙂
