I am going to go out and get Applecare for my Macbook, but am a little confused about the activation. This is what I need to know; When I buy the warranty and activate it, does the 3 years start from then or when I bought the Macbook? So I got the Macbook in December and let's say I activated it today, would it be valid July 12, 2010, or December 2010?

Dec 2010. Applecare just adds 2 more yrs to your standard warranty. It also gives you full tech support instead of 3 mo you get 3 yrs.

And it gives you free phone support after the 90-day free to match the total 3-year support.
