I was troubleshooting a Dell system the other day and ended up contacting their support for a dead part. Dell has this thing called Dell Connect where the guy can VNC into your computer and take over the mouse, etc. I'd imagine for the average consumer this is quite helpful.

Do you think Apple should offer such support? What about live chat for all their products.. not just the iMac and Shuffle? 24 Hours?

I can see Apple doing this. I can also see Apple charging a pretty penny for this service ($79 a year maybe).
