I had a dead pixel or dust under the glass of my original Watch. Today, while wearing the replacement for the first time, I noticed that it already has scratches on the glass to the extent that my 9-month old SGS has. I know it's not the strongest glass but the expectation is that the replacements are as good as new. Should I go through the trouble of requesting a different replacement for my original Watch? I haven't done anything to create these scratches in the time I've been wearing it.

I would say yes.

Did they actually replace it with a refurb or merely repaired it (removed the crystal to clean off the dust then reinstalled it)?
It was an express replacement.
